Jackson County Parks + Rec owns and operates the horse park. 

Sure! There are insurance requirements, fees and procedures that must be strictly adhered to. For more information contact jpollard@jacksongov.org

Yes! For the health and well being of all horses on the premises, and to insure biosafety of the park you will need negative Coggins documentation dated within the last 12 months.

No, the horse park does not offer camping facilities or hookups at this time. Luckily camping is available nearby at the Longview Park Campground. For more information contact parksrec@jacksongov.org or (816) 503-4805.

The Longview Horse Park Association fundraises to pay for capital improvements. Fundraising efforts include personal donations, logo wear sales, and local equine group contributions. All donations made to the park are tax deductible as we maintain non profit 510(c)3 status. Please visit our Get Involved page! 100% of all donations go directly to the park, as we are an all volunteer work force.

Dogs are absolutely welcome at the park as long as they are kept and controlled on a leash. This rule is strictly enforced at all times.

They are permitted in designated areas only, and not during equine events. Permits must be obtained in person at the Administration Building at 22807 Woods Chapel Road, Blue Springs, MO 64015. Permits are granted to persons with liability insurance in the amount of $2.5 million.

WHO WE ARE

The Longview Horse Park Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit group. The board consists of volunteers that represent local equine breeds, disciplines and associations that come together to serve as stewards for this local treasure.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to protect and enhance Longview Horse Park today and for future generations through preservation, education, fundraising and prudent long range planning.

Longview Horse Park is home to many horse shows throughout the year, including two USEA recognized eventing horse trials, and the Area IV Championship. Our events bring thousands of competitors and spectators to the Kansas City area every year. The local economic impact is significant and growing.
